CheckCheck the pieces you have so far
Draw the pieces you have in the game, then press Check. We tell you how many are right and mark the first wrong one, without showing the rest. Still stuck? “Next piece only” takes off a wrong piece or adds a correct one, and says why.

Hint 1Where to start
Start with the 6 in row 1, column 3 (a wide rectangle): it fits only 1 way without covering another clue. Every piece holds exactly one clue, so pieces near the edges and corners often have the fewest options.
Hint 2The first two pieces
The pieces for the 6 in row 1, column 3 and the 6 in row 1, column 1.
Hint 3The biggest pieces
The 5 biggest pieces; 5 more to place.

How to solve Patches faster
- Start with the clue that has the fewest possible rectangles, often a big number near a corner.
- A piece can never cover a second clue, so clues close together cut each other's options down fast.
- Check the shape: a wide clue needs more columns than rows, a tall one the opposite, a square the same.

Questions
What time does the new Patches come out?
LinkedIn releases a new Patches every day at 12:00 AM Pacific Time (3:00 AM Eastern). We post the hints and answer soon after.
What do the shapes in Patches mean?
A wide shape means the piece is wider than it is tall, a tall shape the opposite, and a square means equal sides. A clue without a number can be any size that fits its shape.
